Pair of carved wooden sculptures of the Black Forest (Black Forest), decorated with two birds perched on a basket of fruit and foliage, with horns made ??of crystal, of the nineteenth century Napoleon III.
These sculptures are in good condition. The crystal cones are damaged (see red arrows) but not seen the sculptures once asked.

Objects carved from the Black Forest is not from Germany but were manufactured in the region of Brienz, Switzerland. The tradition of woodworking is ancestral in this region, people perpetuate the practice of wood carved on the facades of houses, furniture and everyday objects. Great sculptors in particular the representation of wild animals in their natural environment. In XIX, these naturalistic sculptures of the Black Forest have become very fashionable and popular.
