Superb and rare polychrome wood sculpture depicting Jesus Glorious Christ Pantocrator * or wearing a beautiful red coat and showing his scars on his chest, antique eighteenth century.
This sculpture is in good condition. The colors are still very vivid. It can be removed from its base (see last photo).
A note: accidents and gaps on the left hand, some lack of polychrome hole in the back, wear time, see photos.

* Christ in glory is a topic of Christian iconography. It is to the eschatological representation of Christ in his body shrouded glory of light at the end of time after the last judgment. Christ is represented face, bearded, long hair, features frozen, surrounded by a halo of light, alone or surrounded by different reasons. Christ Pantocrator, privileged representation of Byzantine art, is a Christ in glory, c ' is to say, the artistic representation of Jesus Christ in his glorious body as opposed to the human figures with the Passion of Christ on the Cross, or of the Child Jesus.
