_______________________

* Christ in glory is a particular subject of Christian iconography. Its object is the eschatological representation of Christ in his body of glory, nimbly of light, at the end of time after the Last Judgment. Christ is represented from the front, bearded, long hair, frozen features, surrounded by a nimbus of light, alone or surrounded by different motifs. The Christ pantocrator , a privileged representation of Byzantine art, is a Christ in glory, that is, the artistic representation of Jesus Christ in his glorious body as opposed to the more human representations of Christ suffering the Passion on the Cross, Or that of the Child Jesus.
