Empire jug in finely chiseled solid silver, ovoid-shaped with zoomorphic spout, blackened wood or ebony handle, tripod foot with claw feet with applique foliage, side hinge for the lid, hallmarked with the Rooster (1st title Paris 1797-1809) , hallmark of the association of goldsmiths and silversmith Jean-baptiste Potot *, vintage late 18th-early 19th centuries.
