Pretty china saucer northern France, perhaps Lille, Bérain decor of flowers and foliage, vintage late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
This gravy boat is in good condition. A report: slight defects of enamel, a crack on the side (see red arrow), see photos.
* The setting "on Bérain" is based on drawings by Jean Bérain, decorator of Louis XIV. Around a central theme, usually a mythological character, is built a network of perfectly symmetrical arabesques, enriched with architectural elements, caryatids, busts and fantastic animals. Most often, this scene is in monochrome blue.
