Large rectangular tray with handles, signed Christofle *, finely chiseled silver metal decorated with a frieze of pearls around the edge and crossed ribbons on catches, guilloche background decorated in the center of an oval cartouche with initials, late XIXth-early twentieth centuries.
This plateau is in good condition. It is poiçonné rear.

is a French silverware company founded in 1830 by Charles Christofle. His punches master goldsmith deposited in 1845, when the first factory "silver silversmith." At the end of the nineteenth century, Christofle now produces silver plated objects. The Emperor Napoleon III order, in 1851, all official tableware Empire Christofle. By the second half of the nineteenth century, Christofle also became the supplier of ministries, embassies, parliaments around the world, but also the luxury hotel, maritime and railway companies, both French and foreign.
