Is a French goldsmith's trade mark, founded in 1830 by Charles Christofle. His master-goldsmith's punches were deposited in 1845, the date of the first "silversmiths" manufacture. At the end of the 19th century, Christofle now produces silver-plated objects. In 1851 the Emperor Napoleon III commissioned all the official table services of the Empire at Christofle. From the second half of the 19th century, Christofle also became the supplier of ministries, embassies, parliaments all over the world, but also luxury hotels, shipping and railway companies, both French and foreign. Although specialized in silver plating, silvering and gilding by electroplating, Christofle offered most of its solid silver models, notably under the brand name Cardeilhac, a goldsmith's business bought back in 1950. The company currently maintains a workshop for The massive silver that produces high quality works.
