Double louis d'Or called "bare head" or "with attached shields, representing the head of Louis XVI on the left inscription LUD • XVI • D • G • FR • - AND NAV • REX (Louis XVI, by the grace of God, King of France and Navarre); on the reverse, the 2 shields of France and Navarre, Paris workshop letter (A), inscription: CHRS • REGN • VINC • IMPER (1786) (Christ reigns, defeats, commands).
This piece is in good condition, in its own juice.
A note: some brown spots on the obverse, some tiny shocks on the edge, scratches and wear of time, take a good look at the photos for the condition of the part.
