Medal of the Order of Saint-Louis * in solid enameled gold, in the shape of a cross with four branches, separated by fleur-de-lis, with King Saint-Louis armored in gold, surrounded by the legend " Ludovicus Magnus instituit 1693", in a finely chiseled and openwork solid silver frame, from the 18th century.
This medal is in good condition. No punch on the frame but has been tested with silver.
A note: some accidents and lack of enamel on the medal, some tiny shocks on the frame, wear of time, look at the photos.
* The royal and military order of Saint-Louis is a French honorary order created by an edict of Louis XIV of April 5, 1693 to reward the most valiant Catholic officers having at least 10 years of presence in the regiments of the kingdom, which whatever their birth condition.
