Solid silver Louis XV medal for the Laying of the First Stone of the Statue of the King in Rennes (Brittany), year 1744, 18th century.

Obverse description: Inscription on the base of the statue of Louis XV. A woman draped in the antique style on either side of the statue. In the middle the oval shield of Brittany and on the left, a lit altar, on the right a marine anchor. Signed: FM. (at the bottom right). On the reverse: LUDOVICO XV. / REGI CHRISTIANISSIMO, / REDIVIVO ET TRIUMPHANTI, / HOC AMORIS PIGNUS, / ET SALUTIS PUBLICAE MONUMENTUM / COMITIA ARMORICA POSUERE / ANNE M. DCC. XL IV..
