said Émile Monier is a French sculptor, emblematic of the Art Deco period. He created very beautiful portraits of the different ethnic groups of the former French colonial empire. We know of his bronze medals stamped with superb profiles of Bornu, Peuhl, Senoufo, or Tuareg men and women, created in particular for the 1931 Colonial Exhibition.
