Umbrella Stand by Jacques Adnet leather, 20th


Umbrella Stand by Adnet Hermes *, metal structure sheathed in green leather saddle stitched, vertical banded bamboo and how to overcome golden brass spheres, vintage 1970's twentieth century.

This umbrella holder is in very good condition. It is not signed.

* Jacques Adnet (1900-1984)

Architect and designer of the twentieth century. He worked with John, his twin brother, who received training identical to his, and under a common signature until 1928, receiving the same rewards. In 1959 he became Director of the Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. It creates a n geometrically shaped furniture with new materials while keeping the sake of elegance all its own, making the link between modernity and tradition. Over time, it uses more metal and glass with which it manufactures seats, bedside tables in a tube, but small pieces of furniture made entirely of ice and screwed on a silver frame. He abandoned the old forms that do not even try to adapt. He nevertheless remained faithful to certain types of furniture as the furniture support in countless variations. He has also worked extensively on furniture that was to be coated leather with saddle stitching. He worked particularly with Hermès from 50 years to create this type of furniture.
