Superb and rare officer's saber, belonging to Captain Bretesche, blade signed "Coulaux & Cie Klingenthal" House Fauré the page * Paris, shagreen handle golden bronze, decorated with a head or grotesque, of foliage and monogrammed, dated 1901, vintage early twentieth century.

Arquebusier and furbisher in Paris (1865 - 1913) 14, Purveyor of the Imperial Court of Russia. Nephew of Henri Le Page, son of Louis and Eleanor Didier Faure Méliade Le Page. Partners with Louis Michel Moutier in 1865 and remains the sole owner of the house and 1868. He developed an international clientele and becomes official supplier of the Imperial Court of Russia. Participating in each of the world fairs, it accumulates distinctions in Paris in 1865 (1st Class Medal), 1867 (Silver Medal), 1878 (Gold Medal), 1889 (Grand Prix), and Vienna in 1873 (Medal Progress). It is made Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in 1878 and an Officer of the Legion of Honor in 1894. The shop moved to 8, rue de Richelieu, at the foot of the Royal Palace Hotel which opened in 1909. In 1913 The gunsmith Dumond succeeds Fauré Le Page's old house but keeps the name and became a limited company in 1925.
