* Gabriel Jacques Lérivint (1741-1823)

General of the French Revolution and the First Empire. He is the father of the cavalry colonel Joseph Charles Lerivint (1776-1812). The young Gabriel Lerivint engages very early in the King's army. It makes a fine military career before the revolutionary wars, gradually climbing the military ladder. First junior officer, he became lieutenant colonel and colonel in the cavalry. January 10, 1794, Gabriel-Jacques Lérivint was promoted to brigadier general by the people's representatives to the Armies of the Rhine and Moselle. So he did all campaigns since the reign of Louis XV to the Empire. Gabriel will die Lerivint June 14, 1823 in Saumur in the Maine-et-Loire, at the advanced age of 82.
