Diptych-type sundial, in a bone case with engraved denticle decoration, inside a compass with a moving analemma and an equinoctial dial on a paper background bearing the names of cities; on the mobile door a lunar calendar; on the back a perpetual calendar engraved in Arabic numerals and signed “Jacques Senecal ADieppe fecit”, vintage mid-17th century.
This dial is in good general condition. Superb quality. Hook closure. Signed Jacques Sénécal active in Dieppe between 1660 and 1685.

Note: the compass needle is missing, the string connecting the two interior parts is missing, yellowed and worn paper, small accident on one corner of the case, bones a little yellowed, wear and tear over time, look carefully at the photos.
