Beautiful liturgical screed * gold-colored silk fabric and decorated with gold embroidery son of floral and plant motifs, chaperone initial IHS, period first half of the twentieth century.

This cap is in good condition. It will be cleaned.

A note: some small tears, the lining is worn, light duty, wear time, see pictures.

* Fork:

Long garment ceremony, open front, usually semicircular, worn over the alb and used for papal Masses and other solemn ceremonies like some vespers, processions and blessings of the Holy Sacrament. Originally, the screed could include a cap, the chaperone shaped cloth enforcement decorated apron and lined with fringes, it carries the reverse, is a relic. The screed is often bordered on the front of a braid or a strip of fabric, sometimes with a setting called orphrey. It is kept closed by one or two metal buckles. The gold is the color of the precious light. This color is used during the most important holidays: Easter and Christmas. For the time "ordinary", which is also called "the time of the Church", the Church uses the green.
