Rooster weather vane of tower or city hall in zinc and wrought iron, XIXth century.
This cock is in good condition, it is in its own juice. It is made of two welded zinc shells mounted on a hollow shaft of iron, and his large extended tail cut allowing it to take the wind to act as a weathervane.
A note: shock, wear and cabossures time, traces of oxidation, cracks and holes in the bottom (see red arrows), well look at photos.
We like weathervanes other roosters for sale on this site.
