Watercolor (and ink) representing a view of the Roman Forum (in Rome), with the Arch of Septimius Severus at the foot of the Capitoline Hill, animated by several characters walking among the ruins of temples, in a gilded carved wooden frame decorated with shells in the corners, from the 18th century.
This watercolor is in good condition as is its period frame. It is under glass.
Note small defect at the top of the watercolor, slight yellowing, wear and tear, see photos.
