Very beautiful watercolor by Paul Perraudin * boats representing the port of Vannes, near the Rabine, signed and dated 1972, vintage twentieth century.
This watercolor is in good condition. It is under glass. It will reattach in its frame. It is signed and dated lower right as well as back.

(1907-1990): official painter of the Navy since 1943. Specialist watercolors, drawings, prints, Perraudin extensively practiced teaching decorative arts. As marine painter he made the following shipments:
Beautemps Baupre, Lobelia, Richelieu, La Somme, Oran Naval, Andromeda, The Savoy, aero Meeting .. Perraudin admired Daumier (emphasis revealing elements in the drawing). His work is made watercolors and drawings only few lithographs and illustrated books.
