Gouache depicting a landscape with a village nestled at the edge of a river, probably the Rhine, with characters on the shore or in boats, certainly in the Rhineland (Germany), XIXth century.
This gouache is in good condition. It is pasted on a sheet of paper. It is not signed but comes from the same set of drawings and watercolors (sketchbooks) an amateur painter of the nineteenth century.
A note: slightly yellowed paper (medium and upper corners of the gouache), wear of time, see photos.
