Carved chestnut woodwork element enhanced with gilding, pediment decorated with two cherubs surrounding an episcopal miter, central panel carved with coats of arms with a double coat of arms topped with a chimera and foliage, from the private chapel of the Château de Treulan * (Morbihan , Brittany), vintage late 17th-early 18th centuries.
This panel is in good condition. It is very decorative due to its large size. holes
A note: missing the cross on the top of the miter, some wear on the gilding, some slight accidents and wear on the wood, see photos.
* The Espivent family from La Villesboisnet is a family of Breton nobility from the Saint-Brieuc region. Arthur (1809 - 1897) will receive the title of count of the Villesboisnet; in 1872 he bought the château de Treulan en Pluneret (Morbihan).
