Begins with his first brand on December 7, 1833. By partnering with his sons William Tapley and George Tapley as John Tapley & Co, a goldsmith, he seems to have moved to 4 Horse Shoe Court, Ludgate Hill. After George Tapley's departure in 1842, the company's name was John Tapley & Son. John Tapley continued alone after the departure of his last son from 1845 until 1857.
