Empire egg cup in finely chiseled vermilion silver decorated with friezes of palmettes on the edge, tripod base with three large applied palmettes, on a hexagonal base, Old Man's mark (1st Department title), goldsmith's mark and Grosse Garantie Department, vintage early 19th century.
This egg cup is in good condition and is of high quality. The hallmarks are very worn and very hard to see.
A note: tiny small shocks in the bottom of the egg cup, some micro-scratches, light soiling and wear of time, see photos.
